The Cash Option

Each benefit is provided as goods and services (the Catering Benefit as a service). Your policy terms explain your right to choose a cash amount instead, at no extra fee.

Exclusions (Summary)

Benefits are subject to waiting periods, exclusions and sub-limits set out in the policy terms and conditions. Claims are assessed against those terms, and cover must be active with premiums up to date. Suicide is not covered during the first 24 months of cover. Please read your policy document for the full list of exclusions.

Cooling-off & Cancellation

You have a cooling-off right and may cancel your policy as set out in your policy document. A premium grace period applies before a policy lapses – please see your policy terms for the exact periods.

Complaints

If you have a complaint, please contact us on 087 183 1300 or hello@emthunzinifs.co.za, and we will log and respond to your complaint in line with our complaints procedure. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may escalate it to the insurer and, thereafter, to the National Financial Ombud Scheme (NFO).
